GREETING TEAM

The purpose of the greeting team is to welcome those who come through the doors on Sunday mornings by introducing yourself, making them feel welcome, handing out bulletins and by making himself or herself available to anyone who may have any questions. Someone who is greeting on a Sunday morning should direct new visitors to the worship space while telling them to make themselves at home by helping themselves to the snacks and coffee located there. Greeters should also help those with young children (0-4 years) sign into the nursery and also explain that there is a children’s program for ages 5-10 who will be dismissed half way through the service. The most important aspect of this position is to have a welcoming spirit and a smile!

Traditionally, greeters will be placed on a once-per-month rotation. Schedules are made two months in advance. On Sundays that you are working, it is asked that you have arrived and are at your post at 10:40 a.m.
